D N Narasimha Raju, IAS (Retd.)

As member of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Mr. D.N. Narasimha Raju held senior positions in Government of India and Government of Karnataka for about thirty two years. He worked at policy formulation and implementation levels. He worked in several important sectors namely revenue, industry, e-Governance, urban governance, labour, finance, commerce and energy at central and state government levels. Strategic decision making, people management and stake holders consultation have been the focus area in the various assignments held. His last position in IAS was Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister of Karnataka for a period of 3 years during which time he tendered advice to CM and assisted in monitoring on progress on a wide range of significant issues across departments.
Superannuated from IAS in April, 2016, and thereafter, he served as State Chief Information Commissioner, Karnataka from May 2016 to October 2016. The Board of Directors have selected him to the position of Chief Executive Officer of National Institute for Smart Government. He has been inducted into the Board as Director and CEO with effect from 03.01.2017.

Sudhir Saxena, has over 30 years of experience in different areas of Information Technology including Software Development, Project/Program Management, Business Development and Corporate Communications. Presently Vice President at NISG, Mr. Saxena has held senior management positions at CMC Limited (Vice President/SBU head/Corporate Communications head/International Business head), at TCIL Bellsouth Limited (CEO), Hindustan Computers Ltd (System Division Head) and at ICL (UK) (Consultant). During his long IT career, Mr. Saxena has played pivotal roles in some of the largest IT project implementations in the country as well as in Introduction of New Technologies in IT Governance Projects. Currently he is involved in NISG’s health practice (Mission Mode Project for Ministry of Health & Family Welfare) and several other projects in diverse areas.

Mr. Saxena holds an M Tech from IIT Kanpur and a Bachelor’s degree from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He has participated in Management Programs at IIM Ahmedabad and at IIM Bangalore. He has published papers and reports and presented them at National as well as International conferences. He has also contributed to Academic Programs at many Management Institutions in the country.


Dr. Punam Sahgal
Vice President (HR) has over three decades of experience in academics and industry. She is an alumnus of the Faculty of Management Studies Delhi University where she obtained a Doctorate in Management. Prior to joining NISG she was Dean Noida Campus and Professor of Organization Behavior with the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. She was The Raman Munjal Chair Professor for Leadership at the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon.
Her experience with industry includes her role as Director, Training with Feedback Reach Consultancy Services Private LTD, part of the Feedback Ventures Pvt. Ltd. Group of companies in 2001, and as Vice President, Capacity Building, National Institute for Smart Government during 2010-11. 
She consults with corporates, public enterprises and international organizations in areas relating to managing change, process consulting, action learning projects and redesign of HRM systems.
She has published four books and several research papers in academic journals. She is an accredited Sensitivity Trainer from the Indian Society for Applied Behavioral Sciences. 
She is a Member of the Task Force for the Results Framework Document, Government of India & Member of the International Advisory Board, MIP Politechnico  Di Milano, Graduate School of Business, Milan, Italy.
In her current role at NISG she is responsible for Business HR, Capacity Building and Core HR.

Triveni Mehta, General Manager - HR,  brings to NISG, 25 Years of experience in Human Resource Management. She has worked both in the Public and Private Sectors . Her experience spans across industry verticals including Hospitality, Retail, Healthcare, Financial Services and Welfare.

She is a Law Graduate with a Post Graduate Degree from Delhi University. Besides she has completed a Labour Law Programme from Indian Law Institute Delhi. Professionally she has successfully completed HR Programmes from the TV Rao Learning Systems Ahmedabad and Academy of HRD. She is a Life member of the National HRD Network.

She has worked extensively in all verticals of HR including Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits, Performance Management Systems, Employee Life Cycle Management, HRD Audits, Strategic HR, Policy Development and Implementation, Communication and Employee Engagement, Organisation Design, and HR Budgetting.Legal and administrative functions have also been part of her portfolio in most of the organisations.

She has worked with mid to large size teams in organisations like India Tourism Development Corporation, Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals , United Colors of Benetton and Birla Home Finance.She has been heading the Function since 1995. In NISG she is responsible for the entire gamut of talent management including, acquisition, compensation and rewards, life cycle management, communication and engagement.


Rajesh Joshi, General Manager (Finance & Accounts). His areas of responsibilities include Corporate Finance & Accounts, Company Law matters, RTI & Legal Matters, Audits and Taxation.

Rajesh joined NISG in January 2012 and has over 20 years of experience. As the Head of Finance, Rajesh’s key priorities are to manage critical finance function and adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements.

Prior to joining NISG, Rajesh worked in different capacities at Accenture, Indo Rama Synthetics, Canada Aviation Electronics, Ambuja Cements, BILT and others.

Rajesh is an Fellow Member of ICAI, Certified Management Accountant of Institute of Management Accountants (IMA USA). He holds a B.Com degree from Nagpur University.
