​NISG is a not-for-profit company setup in Public-Private-Partnership (PPP)  on 28th May 2002, under section 25 of Companies Act 1956, with 51% equity contributed by the private sector and 49% by the public sector.

​

NASSCOM, Government of India and Government of Andhra Pradesh are the main promoters of the Company with Government of Chhattisgarh, Government of Meghalaya, Vizag Municipal Corporation, and Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services being the other stakeholders.

​

The Authorised Capital of the company is Rs. 25,00,00,000 while the Paid up capital of the company is Rs. 2,94,11,500.

Mandatory provisions of Right To Information Act 2005 Ref. Clause b (i) to (xvii) under Section 4, Sub-section 1

NISG is construed a public authority under Section 2 (h) of RTI Act 2005. Accordingly under Section 4 (b) of the act it is required to publish the particulars of its organization, functions and duties etc and update these on a regular basis. NISG furnishes the following details in compliance with the provisions of Section 4(1)(b) of RTI Act 2005:

i. The particulars of its organization, functions and duties.   

NISG is a company registered under Section 25 of Companies Act,1956. The following information is provided on the Organization and functions of NISG:

ii. The powers and duties of its officers and employees.

As per HR policy of NISG, there are employees at five levels functioning in various capacities like the CEO, Vice President, General manager, manager and asst. manager. The roles and responsibilities at each level as specified in the HR policy are given here.

​

iii. The procedure followed in the decision making process, including channels of supervision and accountability

The policy level decisions are made by the Board of Directors. The operational decisions are made by the officials of NISG in terms of the delegation of powers approved by the Board. The channels of supervision and performance monitoring are reflected in the organization structure.

​

iv. The norms set by it for the discharge of its functions.

NISG follows the rules of performance management system to monitor the discharge of functions by the employees.

​

v. The rules, regulations, instructions, manuals and records, held by it or under its control or used by its employees for discharging its functions.

NISG does not exercise any statutory functions. Hence it does not hold or control any rules or regulation.

​

vi. A statement of the categories of documents that are held by it or under its control.

NISG holds documents which are of two types as given below:

  1.  Documents relating to NISG's own projects

    • Empanelment of consultants by NISG - Public Document

    • Projects/Initiatives of NISG

    • RFP – Public

    • Project Agreements-Private

  2.  Documents relating to Administration and Finance Department

    • Balance Sheet-Public

    • Annual Reports-Private

    • Statutory returns -Private

vii. The particulars of any arrangement that exists for consultation with, or representation by the members of the public in relation to the formulation of its policy or implementation there of.

Policies/objectives of the organization are decided by the Board of Directors. There is no provision for consultation with or representation by members of the public in this regard.

viii. A statement of the boards, councils, committees and other bodies consisting of two or more persons constituted as its part or for the purpose of its advice, and as to whether meetings of those boards, councils, committees and other bodies are open to the public, or the minutes of such meetings are accessible for public.

The monthly basic salary of the employees is provided in the Remuneration Structure.

xi. The budget allocated to each of its agency, indicating the particulars of all plans, proposed expenditures and reports on disbursements made.

NISG does not receive any budget support from any Government. NISG does not have any agencies under its control. NISG earns revenue basically by providing its services (as mentioned in 4.1b(i) – About NISG, vision and functions) for the Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the Government on a project-to-project basis.

xv. The particulars of facilities available to citizens for obtaining information, including the working hours of a library or reading room, if maintained for public use.

For information (under the RTI Act, 2005) the citizens may approach the Public Information Officer (PIO-RTI) of NISG (Regd. Office) available from 10:00 hrs to 13:00 hrs on each day (except Saturday, Sunday and public holidays). The office of PIO-RTI is located on the second floor of TSIIC zonal office building, Financial district, Nanakramguda, Hyderabad – 500032, Telangana State.


The information pertaining to NISG is also available in detail on NISG website (https://www.nisg.org). Further, the citizens may also approach the PIO-RTI using e-mail address mahesh.edla@nisg.org, as per the provisions of RTI Act 2005.


NISG has required resources for facilitating quick information to the citizens on request, as per relevant provisions of the RTI Act 2005.

Right of the citizen in case of denial of information: In case of denial of the information, a citizen may appeal to the Appellate authority mentioned above as per the procedure set-out in RTI Act 2005.​
